I haven’t posted much from my hometown here on the blog so I thought it was time to share a bit from Denmark! There’s so many amazing places here, but when you’re living with it everyday and it just becomes everyday-life, you sort of stop noticing and appreciating the uniqueness of the place. It’s a shame though! However, in my city, Aarhus, they opened a street food market in summer, but since I haven’t been home all summer I didn’t get to visit it until just the other day. It’s such a cool place, with amaaazing food from everywhere in the world; Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, Italian, Jamaican, Nordic, and much more. My favourite foods are Southamerican, Thai, Vietnamese and Italian – So difficult you pick since I care so much for food, haha! What are your favorite types of food?

Xx, Sara Kirstine

brunch

This weekend Anders is off, so we went out for brunch again haha! I literally eat brunch out like twice a week – It’s like an addiction and I think I need to cut back a bit, ha! After we went to shoot some outfit pictures (see outfit here).
I’m having such a great time here in Barcelona, but yesterday I realized half of my time here in Barcelona has already passed. I actually made me quite sad since I feel time is just flying by way too quickly! I still feels like I just arrived. And I know the last 1,5 month will go just a quick – if not quicker… It’s crazy. However, it’s still 1,5 month with new experiences and memories which I’m excited about!
With Love, Sara

See full outfit here.

Kram, Sara

I loooove breakfast and nothing keeps me going for the day like a good, solid breakfast! After I bought my Acai powder I’ve been making these Acai Smoothie Bowls in the morning – and no, not always looking as glories at this one, haha. Some of my friends have been asking how I make since they’ve seen it on Snapchat or so, so I though I might just as well share the recipe with you guys too. It is super easy to make, super healthy and tastes like it’s neither easy or healthy, haha. It’s super fresh and sweet from all of the fruits.

Acai Smoothie Bowl with chia seeds:

  • I make it with a chia pudding as a base which I have prepared the day before, by mixing milk with the seeds (I use rice milk). I like to add chia seeds since they are so rich on nutrients and fibers and therefore keeps me full for hours.
  • I mix the acai powder in either the pudding or the smoothie – today I’ve mixed in it the chia pudding so you can sense the colour of it, but it doesn’t really make a difference. Acai improves skin and cellular health, among it’s many benefits.
  • The smoothies consists of mixed forest berries, banana, greek yoghurt and fresh orange juice, which I mix with the chia pudding
  • Add whatever toppings you have and like the most, it can be fruits, seeds, nuts etc. Only your imagination is the limit! Coconut flakes goes really well with it too.

Wish you a great morning! With love, Sara Kirstine

Another Saturday, yet another Brunch!

I met up with two of my best friends here in Barcelona to try out a new Brunch place called Tropico, or at least for us it’s new. It was sooo delicious! I actually think I’ll have to add it to my list for Best Brunch Places in Barcelona –
We sat there for several hours, just talked, and ate, and talked, until the waiters told us the table was reserved for another party, haha! Then we went out shopping a bit, just got home an hour ago or so. It was really great to have a girls-day! Tonight is then gonna be a girls-night, since another good friend of mine has her birthday today so we’ll celebrate with dinner and some drinks. I feel so lucky to have all these amazing persons in my life!
Love, Sara

Love, Sara

If you’re going to Barcelona, you must visit La Boqueria! It’s a big food market with lots of fresh fruits and juices, vegetables, fish, meat, spices, sweets, and small restaurants and street food stands. So don’t eat before you go there, because you will wanna try EVERYTHING! Every stall are displaying their products really nicely, and it’s such a colourful place. However, be prepared that there will be a lot of people.. There are different food markets all over the city, but I think this one is the most exciting one since they are really doing a big effort to make all of the product look amazing, and also it offers these amazing restaurants which ingredients come straight from the market. It is located at Las Ramblas.

I went there a few days ago and was just as impressed as the first time I was there! Unfortunately, I went on a full stomach which I regretted so much because of all the nice stuff there.. I love their juices! Have any of you guys been??
